Avg Living costs estimation sheet for basic living in Singapore.

Everything is money in Singapore.Living is More expensive here in Singapore and that too Indian food you may find little expensive than any available foods in Singapore. Most of the cuisines were of Chinese and Malay style and if you Vegetarian then it would be difficult for you to manage to eat in Restaurant. if you able to cook then you can save some money in Food expenses and most of the student hostels have electric cookers, however utensils you need to get on your own and permises has to be maintained clean. Most of the hostels follows this policy.

After researching and taking inputs from some of my Indian friends here ,I would say this would be the Above avg expenses for the basic living in Singapore.

Accommodation (shared): 400$-500$(4 -sharing in hostel) ; 300$-400$(6 to 8 - sharing in apartment ,this includes PUB.ie electricity and water bills)
Utilities: if you stay in hostel, they will take care, if its apartment person has to be taken care and it will be around 50$ to 60$ depending on members of room.
Food cost in Singapore:450-500$ per month taken 15$ of 5$ each meal for 30 days , if u eat outside, even if you prepare can save max 200$ which comes to 300$ nearly.
Public transport: min 5-8 kms distance guy Travelling thru MRTS takes 60$ for up and down and max can put 100$ for public transport per month.
Telephone: again based on usage, can have 50-80$ if he uses quite min and manage to dial india thru calling cards which comes at 200mins free for india at 2$ for 3months and same way you get 10$ cards for 500mins free for india.
Books & Stationary: no idea as of now. i would say 30-40$ per month, as course material and library is there in univ.
Misc: 100$ if you are clubbing guy and does shopping.
Medical Insurance: no need to worry as univ fees includes this.
